Rocket flies high on the cheap A rocket built by a group of Danish space enthusiasts reached an altitude of 2 kilometres on its maiden flight last week from its base in the Baltic Sea. Built for around £42,000, its altitude fell some way short of the planned 16 km. But Kristian von Bengtson of Copenhagen Suborbitals, the non-profit organisation that built the rocket, said it is still a big step forward for rocketry at rock-bottom prices.
